A property power of attorney lets someone you trust sell, buy, transfer, lease or mortgage real estate in the UAE on your behalf. Our advocates draft it to the Dubai Land Department's current standards, in Arabic and English, so the transaction is not held up at registration.

Preview only: this form does not send requests yet.A property power of attorney is a notarized document in which a property owner or buyer, the principal, authorises another person, the attorney, to carry out named real estate transactions: selling, buying, transferring, leasing or mortgaging a specific property. In Dubai it must name each transaction expressly to be accepted by the Land Department.

Inside the UAE or abroad
Sign before a notary public in person, or remotely by video call where the notary offers it. You need your Emirates ID or passport.
A property POA signed abroad must be notarized there, legalised by the UAE embassy, attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and translated into Arabic. For Dubai property it must be under two years old when used.
How a POA from abroad worksBefore you sign
Why Al Kirbi
The POA must name each transaction expressly, for example the sale of a specific property. Broad wording is not enough. The original document is required, and a POA issued abroad must be legalised, attested, translated into Arabic and under two years old.
Yes. You sign a property POA where you live, have it attested, and your attorney completes the sale in Dubai. You can also use remote notarization where it is available. See power of attorney from abroad.
In Dubai this is rarely accepted. The Land Department expects the sale to be named expressly, so a special property POA is the safe choice. See general and special POA.
Only if the POA says so. You can authorise the attorney to receive the price, or require the buyer to pay you directly.
A POA made in the UAE stays valid until it is revoked or its stated period ends. For Dubai property, a POA issued abroad must have been issued within the two years before it is submitted.
Yes, through the notary at any time before the transaction. See how to cancel a POA.
Fees depend on the transactions covered and how it will be notarized. Send your request and we confirm a clear quote before any work starts.
