A vehicle power of attorney lets someone you trust sell, transfer or manage your car in the UAE when you cannot be there. Our advocates draft it in Arabic and English, in the wording the licensing authority expects, and arrange the notarization in person or remotely.

Preview only: this form does not send requests yet.A vehicle power of attorney (vehicle POA) is a notarized document in which the car owner, the principal, authorises another person, the attorney, to act on one specific vehicle: selling it, transferring its ownership, renewing its registration or dealing with the licensing authority. In the UAE it is issued in Arabic and is accepted only once notarized.

Keep the car licensed and insured while you travel or work elsewhere.
Authorise someone to sell or dispose of the car after you have left.
Let a manager or driver handle registration and transfers for company cars.
Authorise someone to deal with the bank clearance letter and settle fines before a sale.
Scope
You choose exactly what the attorney may do. These are the powers most often included.
We list each power precisely and identify the car by plate number and chassis number, so the authority knows exactly what your attorney may do.

How it works
Send the registration card and IDs on WhatsApp. An advocate confirms what the POA needs to cover.

In person in the UAE, by video call where remote notarization is available, or at a UAE embassy abroad.

Inside the UAE or abroad
Sign before a notary public in person, or remotely by video call where the notary offers it. You need your Emirates ID.
Sign before a notary or at a UAE embassy or consulate in your country. A POA notarized abroad must then be attested by the UAE embassy and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and translated into Arabic by a licensed legal translator.

We usually draft a vehicle POA within one working day. The signing depends on the notary's availability, and we book the earliest appointment we can.
Not always. Authorities can question a broad general POA for a specific sale. A special POA that names the car and the sale is the safer choice, and we advise which one fits your case.
Yes. You can revoke it through the notary at any time, and we can prepare the cancellation for you. See how to cancel a POA.
Fees depend on what the POA covers and how it will be notarized. Send your request and we confirm a clear quote before any work starts.
